Responsibility, Integrity, Preservation

Nancy's top priorities as a member of the Redlands City Council are to preserve the city's unique character, institute sound financial management, and ensure that Redlands citizens can feel confident in their city government. She believes the City Council must be careful to avoid mortgaging the city's future when determining how to eliminate the current budget deficit and maintain high public safety standards.

As a Councilwoman, Nancy will help Redlands to maintain its precious heritage, including its historic buildings, homes, parks, open spaces, downtown, and local businesses. Nancy believes in planned growth and preserving our environment rather than continuing unfettered development and sprawl. Finally, she will help Redlands to move away from the north-versus-south division and increase partnerships between the city and local businesses, schools, and nonprofit groups.

Nancy ran a completely grassroots campaign and is not beholden to any special interests, yet she came within 150 votes of winning one of the two open City Council seats on November 6, 2007.
